Hmmm... I watch few Japanese BL movies: Sukitomo, Boys Love, Ai no Kotodama, Itsuka no Kimi e.
I must say Ai no Kotodama is my fave ^^
If only there's another like it, but it's quite hard to find Japanese BL movies ^^;;

Off the top of my head, I can think of Renai Hensachi. It's a drama consisting of 4 short stories (4 episodes each) and in the first story, Okada Junichi plays a bisexual character. He also makes a cameo later on in the series after his story is over.

I'm sure there are others...! This is fun so I will keep racking my brain for more. :D

In BOSS there is a gay character, I guess it still counts, right? I can't think of anything else at the moment...I hear LIFE has some homosexual undertones between the two protagonist, but I have no idea. Tsuki no Koibito has a character that could be a transvestite, but they go nowhere with his character.

I will have to try again Gakko Ja, I completely dropped it.

I will take a look at this...Do you know which one I shouldn't even touch?

Two doramas I like in their treatment to gay characters (as I said on twitter earlier) are Dare Yorimo Mama wo Ai su &
Katagoshi no Koibito

In Kagaoshi, there are two minor gay characters, one if really stereotyped but with some twist (a love for GUNS! xDD) but Kaname Jun role is awesome, at least for me.

And in Dare Yorimo, Sadao Abe is your typical flamboyant gay character called PINKO! but there is TamaTetsu character that it's great and the way the story develops have me thinking " Am I really watching a japanese drama?" xDDDD

& for films, Gohatto if you didn't watch it already xD

edit: ok I just realized that you asked for a "no touch" movie/drama, not for a "touch ones"... so the ones I said where the ones I like XDD

a lot of films are really bad I don't even bother watching but so far i wish I could unsee Boy's love, it was such a big sensation with movie & I simply hated it XDDD

LGBT characters and how they are portrayed in Japanese media has been bothering me for a while. Do you remember that on twitter I said I already did an (small) comment on it? I found where it was, after all was when I posted the captures of the first ep of Last Friends (http://pinkujisatsu.livejournal.com/213901.html)

there are films & dramas, the problem is what role these characters play. Most of the times they are very stereotyped characters or the laughing ones, there to make comic relief.
Also a lot of films have second rate actors & their stories tend to be over dramatic ones with lots of forbidden love and shit XDD (truth to be told, I didn't watch all of them so this can't be said as a rule)

TOPLESS (TOPPURESU) was about lesbians.
NANA had a lip-lock between Nakashima and Miyazaki, right?
Ai no Mukidashi had a lesbian sort of relationship, and cross-dressing
Memories of Matsuko had Asuka Kurosawa playing Megumi who was also a lesbian... in prison. LOL
Shinku (Deep Red) has Masami Mizukawa locking lips with the other lead actress.

Hmm... on the Honey & Clover live action movie, the two "artist" who were helping Yusuke Iseya's character with his exhibit, were gay, right?

And subtext counts? LOL Because Kamikaze Girl was pretty gay. xD

For the Takumi-kun series, you are missing Niji Iro no Glass and Bibou no Detail from the list. There is also Boys Love II. Ai no Kotodama 2 (not yet released). Atashinchi no Danshi is close with a metrosexual character who is always confused as gay but he just has a phobia of women, plus Hard Gay being in an ep is a bonus.

from what i see you've got pretty much every dorama i was thinking about, except for "Life is Beautiful", a korean one that's airing now. as usual is a bit overdramatic but the couple is cute >:| BUT THEY JUST KEEP HUGGING AND DOING NOTHING ELSE EVEN THOUGHT THEY'RE ALREADY TOGETHER rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr é_é it's too stressful to watch gay character in asian dramas, seriously!

Don't think I see it on your list yet, but in the Aoyama Shinji film Wild Life (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120513/), the detective is in love with the main character, Sakai. There's no action, just a couple heartbreaking (yet hilarious) confessions. I was just beginning to get into Toyohara Kosuke when I first saw the film and it was the way Higuchi felt about Sakai that made me a lifelong fan of both Toyohara and Yajima Kenichi.



Also, Matsuoka Joji's Kira kira hikaru (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104616/) ("Twinkle") with Toyokawa Etsushi as a gay man who needs to marry for the sake of appearances. Lovely film with a bit of everything, including a delightful moment with ToyoEtsu and another man. I uploaded it over at asian_doramas a few weeks ago (link (http://community.livejournal.com/asian_doramas/594768.html) since the title hasn't been tagged yet).

Yes, there's humor, but in both, the humor comes more from the ridiculous situations that can occur, not to make the characters ridiculous.

Japanese police drama series also has one of the detectives in the team as a gay character. Sadly his sexuality is mostly for comic relif there, but I still quite liked the drama. Hmmm especially the guest starring Takayuki Yamada episodes.

Tadashii Renai no Susume has a lesbian couple (ok recorde que vi que escribias español asi que mejor asi) y el jefe/pimp de la agencia de escorts es gay...aunque nadie la ha fansubeado, la empece a rippear pero pare en el cap 10 (de 30) al ver que mis 'contactos' no tenian ni la menor intencion de ayudarme a encontrar quien la traduzca XP

Me da la impresion que en Tadashii aunque no son los main chara, si dan una impresion 'positiva' de la homosexualidad...aunque claro no entiendo japones asi que no estoy 100% segura o_x
